AMG Passing Drill

This is a fast-paced passing drill in the centre circle. It aims develop stick skills realistically by adding in some chaos and defensive pressure. It works on scanning and decision-making to move the ball accurately under pressure.
Drill Description:
Split your players into three even teams; 🔴⚪️ and non-bibs. Use the centre circle as your area of play. Depending on the size of your group, start with a few balls in play.
Players must pass the ball to any team besides their own; if they’re a non-bib, they pass to 🔴 or ⚪️. If your players are up for a challenge, have them pass to a different team than they receive it from (but still not their own team!).
You can also layer in defence. Assign one team to defend while the other teams pass between one another (either passing only to their colour or passing to the opposite colour).
Variations
To make the drill easier: Try it with a netball to get the players moving and scanning before they have to worry about stick work. Additionally, put cones around the edge of the circle. Make players go around one of the #cones before they can ask for the ball to encourage movement and more effective cuts.
To make the drill more challenging: try giving each team a ball. The goal is for one team to control all the balls. It’s interesting to watch how players work together, protect the balls and double team.
Skills Practiced:
Passing and catching under pressure
