These plans have all been contributed by coaches in our community.

Dodging Session Plan

A comprehensive session plan to develop confidence in dodging, recap critical points, progress decision making and encourage accuracy.


It includes detailed coaching points and questioning to help players to apply their learning.


While the session plan focuses on attacking skills, there are still coaching points for defenders to consider.


There are lots of progressions as well as final attack v defence game around the goal to apply learning. It ends with an excellent plenary to consider the purpose of dodging and key points for defence as well as attack



Y7 10 Week Curriculum Overview

This is an example of a 10 week curriculum plan for Y7 Lacrosse.


It builds on a previous term of stick skills and introdcution to the game, focusing on accuracy and application  of concepts in small sided games.

Developing attacking principles

This session plan takes you through the principles of unit attack and how to achieve chaos to confuse and space to move defenders.


It is more of a conceptual document that maps out how to approach consolidating the principles and relies on players already knowing attacking partnerships.

Wales Lacrosse - U19 Goalkeeper Building Blocks: Training Guide

This programme is intended to help you build the core skills that all good goalkeepers have.

Fundamental skills covered:

Furman Lacrosse Goalie Drills

This is a really comprehensive collection of goalie drills that take players through warm up drills, hand and footwork drills and onto saves and clearing drills.


There are lots of diagrams, photos and key coaching points. Use as little or as much as you need.

This is a great session plan from Caitlin Walters (SHSK, Wales U20) on teaching pick and rolls. She breaks the skill down to coach the concept and then applies it in game play situations. 

Clearly laid out and explained, it includes coaching points and key questions, as well as a contigency plan.
