Exploring the Lacrosse Space: What is it, What You Can Find and How to Use It

Updated: Oct 31

🥍 Welcome to The Lacrosse Space

Hello and welcome to The Lacrosse Space — a community-built hub created for coaches, players, and anyone passionate about developing lacrosse in the UK.

If you’ve ever searched endlessly for lacrosse drills, coaching plans, or reliable guidance that actually fits our UK clubs, you’re in the right place. The Lacrosse Space was born out of a simple idea: to make coaching and playing lacrosse easier, more connected, and more accessible for everyone — no matter your level, experience, or background.

🌟 Why We Built The Lacrosse Space

Across the UK, so many coaches and players are doing incredible work — running sessions, growing junior programmes, and keeping clubs alive — but too often, they’re doing it in isolation. Resources are scattered, shared in group chats, or passed around at tournaments. There’s talent, passion, and creativity everywhere, but it isn’t always easy to find or share.

The Lacrosse Space exists to change that.

We wanted to create a space where people could come together, share ideas, and build on one another’s knowledge. A space where you can find everything you need to plan a session, teach new players, or simply stay inspired.

This isn’t a company or a formal organisation — it’s a community project built by people who love the game and want to see it grow.

🧠 What You’ll Find Here

The Lacrosse Space is designed to be practical, useful, and always growing. Here’s what you can expect to find as you explore:

1. Coaching Resources

From warm-ups and skill drills to complete session plans, we’ve gathered and written up resources that any coach can use — whether you’re teaching U11s for the first time or running competitive university squads. Each resource is made to be adaptable, so you can tweak it to suit your team’s numbers, age, and ability.

2. Player Development

We’re building a library of tips, exercises, and progressions to help players sharpen their skills — passing, shooting, defending, decision-making, and everything in between. There’s something here for every position and every level.

3. Coaching Ideas and Articles

Alongside drills, you’ll find thought pieces and advice from UK coaches — covering topics like leadership, player motivation, team culture, and building confidence. Because good coaching isn’t just about what happens on the pitch; it’s also about how we support and inspire the people we work with.

4. Community Projects

We’ll be spotlighting initiatives, clubs, and individuals doing great things for the sport — from new junior programmes to creative outreach ideas. These stories remind us that lacrosse is more than a game; it’s a community that thrives on collaboration and passion.

5. Community

We’re keen to get others involved and make The Lacrosse Space a true community project. This isn’t just our space — it’s yours too. Whether that means sharing a training idea, writing an article, uploading a drill, or simply offering feedback, every contribution helps the sport grow. The more people who get involved, the stronger and more useful this space becomes for everyone.

💡 How to Use the Website

We’ve tried to make The Lacrosse Space as simple and open as possible. You can:

  • Review drills and browse by category through out drills database

  • Access session plans, drill books and other sources of lacrosse information

  • Get in contact with us if you want to get involved or have any questions about the sport generally.

  • Read Articles to do with gameplay or to do with clubs/people around the UK.

  • Enjoy taking part in a quiz which we’ve called The Cross Check Challenge

There’s no gatekeeping here — no paywalls or complicated memberships. Just a shared belief that the best way to grow the sport is by supporting each other.

If you’ve created something — a drill, a practice plan, a coaching document, or even a success story from your club — you can send it in, and we’ll feature it so others can benefit too.

🌍 Our Vision

Our long-term goal is simple:

To build a connected, supportive, and open network of UK lacrosse coaches and players.

We believe that when resources are shared freely, everyone wins — the quality of coaching improves, players improve quicker, players enjoy the sport more, and the overall standard of lacrosse in the UK rises. We know coaching is time consuming and we want to help make it easier for people to get involved and to do more with their time.

The Lacrosse Space isn’t an official authority or coaching programme — it’s a friendly, community-driven resource designed to complement what’s already out there. Our goal is simply to make lacrosse easier to teach, learn, and enjoy.

💬 Join the Conversation

This website will continue to grow with the help of people like you. Every time someone shares a session plan, contributes an idea, or reads an article, the sport moves forward a little more.

Let’s grow the game together.
